Welcome to an exciting adventure with Sobik Trips! Upon your arrival at Bagdogra Airport (IXB), our representative will greet you and assist you with your transfer to Gangtok. The scenic drive covers approximately 125 kilometers and takes around 4 to 5 hours, passing through lush green landscapes and picturesque mountain views. Once you arrive in Gangtok, check into your hotel and freshen up. After a short rest, embark on an enriching half-day sightseeing tour of this vibrant city. Ropeway: Begin your afternoon with an exhilarating ride on the Gangtok Ropeway. This cable car offers stunning aerial views of the city and the surrounding mountains. Enjoy the thrill of gliding above the lush landscape and take in the breathtaking scenery. Do-Drul Chorten: Next, visit the tranquil Do-Drul Chorten, one of the most significant stupas in Sikkim. Surrounded by 108 prayer wheels, this spiritual site provides a peaceful atmosphere perfect for contemplation and prayer. Namgyal Institute of Tibetology: Continue your tour at the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, where you can delve into the rich Tibetan culture and history. Explore the extensive collection of Buddhist manuscripts, thangkas, statues, and other artifacts that highlight the deep spiritual heritage of the region. Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom (Sunday Closed): Discover the artistic traditions of Sikkim at the Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom. Browse through exquisite handmade crafts, traditional handloom products, and intricate artworks created by skilled local artisans. Please note that this site is closed on Sundays. Flower Show (Orchid): End your sightseeing tour with a visit to the Flower Show, showcasing a spectacular array of orchids and other vibrant flowers. This exhibition is a visual treat, highlighting the rich biodiversity of Sikkim and offering a perfect spot for nature enthusiasts and photographers. After the tour, return to your hotel and enjoy the evening at your leisure, soaking in the serene ambiance of Gangtok. Overnight stay at your hotel in Gangtok.
Start the day with breakfast at the hotel and then embark on a full-day trip to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir/Nathula Pass. Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft)**: Also known as Changu Lake, this oval-shaped glacial lake is 40 kilometers from Gangtok and is surrounded by snow-capped mountains. New Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir**: Built in memory of Baba Harbhajan Singh, a soldier in the Indian Army, this shrine is believed to have wish-fulfilling powers. Extra points : Nathula Pass A major mountain pass in the Himalayas, located at an altitude of 14,450 feet, offering breathtaking views and a glimpse of China on the other side. Nathula Pass is closed on Monday and permits depend on weather conditions.
Morning: Check out from your hotel in Gangtok after breakfast. Start your journey towards Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / NJP Railway Station (NJP) / Siliguri with an exciting stop at Namchi. Mid-Morning: Namchi Excursion: Temi Tea Garden: Visit the only tea estate in Sikkim, sprawling on the natural hill slopes originating from the Tendong Hill. Enjoy the scenic beauty and learn about the tea-making process. Samdruptse: See the impressive 45-meter high statue of Guru Padmasambhava, painted in shimmering copper, pink, and bronze, which can be seen from miles away. Namchi / Char Dham: Explore this pilgrim center featuring a grand temple with a 108-foot height and an 87-foot high statue of Lord Shiva. The site includes replicas of the twelve Jyotirlingas, making it a significant spiritual destination. Afternoon: Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Namchi
